“If I had to guess 25 cents, this would be exactly that, somebody who’s homegrown, maybe a mentally deranged person or someone with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something, it could be anything,” New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg to CBS News.



Fifty-three hours after the failed car bombing in Times Square, a Pakistani-American named Faisal Shahzad was arrested in the act of fleeing the country. When questioned by the FBI, he admitted to having trained in a camp in Waziristan, the base of Hakeemullah Mehsud and the Pakistani Taliban. Shahzad is said to have been introduced to the Taliban by a friend with close links to the Jaish-e-Mohammed (“Army of Muhammad”), an al Qaeda-linked terrorist organization. Shahzad’s family is also said to have had close ties to slain Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud.



You just have to wonder, if the 9/11 terrorists had been Christian extremists, would ANY Evangelical church or congregation be given permission to build a house of worship at ground zero?
