I have been mulling around my response to a recent post on my Facebook page.
A woman is being sent to prison, convicted of the crime of sending her children to school in a different district than the one in which she lives.
After posting this story I asked my FB friends what they thought. I received several replies including a couple from my sisters reminding me of the fact my own parents did for them what this woman did for her children. She wanted a better education for her children than her local public school provided. So in light of the fact that what she did was “for the children” should we as a society forgive the fact that what she did was technically illegal? Does the motive justify the means?
