Can you imagine being one of the graduates from Hampton University and the POTUS is giving your commencement address? What an honor, what a privilege to be able to encourage and inspire these young minds to go out and be the very Best they can be, but alas our motivating leader chose to include in his speech that “information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation”.
This is the United States of America, the land of the FREE, and here we have the President, who took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, undermining the first amendment.
I feel sorry for the graduating class of Hampton and all their excited friends and family. They were most likely anticipating a stirring oration that would include congratulations for their huge accomplishments and encouragement to continue on the path of discovery and success. What an incredible disappointment.
